Curious to walk, a toddler falls while trying to figure out  his steps, a pregnant woman huffs and puffs dejectedly while trying to push the baby during delivery.  These failures are essential. The failure helps the toddler eventually find the balance and the failure guides the mother to finally take a deep breath and push enough to bring her baby into this world. if we stay in tune, there’s a lot to learn.  Failure is the service of learning.

Personally, oil is still in my diet. However, I have tremendously cut down my oil intake. And since doing so, I feel (and am) physically lighter. In fact, I lost a few pounds when I initially cut out any and all oils in my diet. Cut the oil, reduce the oil, keep the oil....you decide!...

Drink Your Turmeric

I regularly cook with turmeric and use it in DIY facial masks for its health and beauty benefits: Anti-inflammatory Heart health Anti-aging So, how in the world did I miss making smoothies with turmeric?!  It all started with our having a ton of carrots that we just couldn't consume fast enough. When I haven't a clue as to what to do with a raw fruit or vegetable, I look up smoothie recipes with the plant food that has just been chillin'. Did you get that? Refrigerator..."chilling"...LOL. Nutmeg Yo' Face!

Who knew nutmeg was magical outside of cakes, cookies, and puddings? Have you tried it on your face? Amazing. As I'm determined to get my skin back in tip-top condition (asap), I am a busy scientist between my kitchen and bathroom. I'm testing DIY cleansers, toners, eye creams, and serums. Almost every day, I'm trying a new facial recipe or homemade natural makeup and loving it! I'm also cleaning bathroom sinks and counters a lot more--not loving that.
