Do you bless others when they sneeze? Or is it a case-by-case scenario and dependent upon who sneezes, where you are, and how you're feeling at that moment to give away a blessing?
I'm no saint, and there have been plenty of times where I missed opportunities to bless others because it might draw attention to me or I'm just not in the mood. Writing these excuses make me cringe. And then moments after not blessing the the person who just sneezed, I go into this internal dialogue: "That's not right. You know if you sneeze, you want someone to bless you." I spend more time thinking about why I did not take that opportunity ('achoo') and seize it ('bless you'). I could have just given a blessing away and carried on with more productive thoughts.
Time is valuable. Why waste it on would've, could've, and should've thinking. Yes or yes?
I'm working on creating more win-win opportunities. Because when one is blessed, the bless'er generally receives a token of appreciation--'thank you'. Win. Win. Plus I'm always happy to collect good karma points.
Bless and be blessed.
